Jason E. Ochs,

General and Managing Partner

Jason Edward Ochs is the general and managing partner of the Ochs Law Firm and is licensed in California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas and Wyoming.

Jason started his career in 2004 with a nationwide plaintiff litigation firm where he practiced complex product liability, catastrophic injuries and medical malpractice. 

In 2006, he joined the Orange County District Attorney’s office to refine his trial skills, trying multiple high-profile cases to verdict.

In 2007 he was recruited by, and joined, a Southern California catastrophic injury firm to lead their injury litigation department where he remained until he found the Ochs Law Firm in 2012.

From 2008 through 2011, Jason was a member of the expert committee and deposition teams in the federal In Re Gadolinium MDL venued in Cleveland, Ohio against GE Healthcare, Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Mallinckrodt. Jason took more than 50 depositions in the pharmaceutical litigation in 2010 alone all over the country, including deposing GE Healthcare’s Global Pharmacovigilance department head in Oslo, Norway.

In 2009, Jason was selected by his peers to chair the expert committee in the coordinated California-state gadolinium cases venued in San Francisco.

From 2009 through 2011, in the Advanced Medical Optics litigation involving hundreds of cases consolidated in Orange County, California against fortune 500 company Abott Laboratories, Jason spear-headed the plaintiffs’ electronic-discovery committee and was an active member of the deposition team.

In 2013 Mr. Ochs filed a mass action against Golden Corral in Casper, Wyoming for what turned out to be the largest food poisoning outbreak ever in the United States.

In 2016, the Ochs Law Firm filed a class action lawsuit against Volkswagen for the diesel emissions scandal.

In 2017, Jason’s firm filed a number of cases seeking recovery for opioid abuse in the nationwide opioid epidemic litigation, representing eleven counties / cities across four states.

In 2018, Jason became lead trial counsel in a bellwether case in the Roundup weed killer litigation against Monsanto in US District Court in Illinois.

In 2020, the Ochs Law Firm was retained by the Natrona County School District in Wyoming to seek damages against Juul, the maker of e-cigarettes.  The case is currently being worked up as a nationwide bellwether trial case.

Jason has been lead trial counsel in pharmaceutical, medical and class action cases, and is presently litigating several class-actions in various parts of the country.

Mr. Ochs has been named by the National Trial Lawyers Association as a Top 100 Lawyers in California and has been further recognized as a “Rising Super Star Lawyer” by both Los Angeles Magazine and Orange Coast Magazine since 2012. He is recognized as a Superlawyer in the Mountain States and is a former board member of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association.
